The Eagle’s Foundation and History

The Endeavour Hills Rugby club was born in 1979 and commenced competition games in the Victorian Rugby Union in 1980 with 1 senior team. We commenced playing at Chalcott Lodge using a green tent as a club room/change room. We out grew Chalcott Lodge and move to Frog Hollow in 1994, which in our humble opinion is the best rugby facility in Melbourne. Over the years we have had our success and failures. We have won 2 senior grade and 2 senior reserve premierships. Our juniors have won numerous premierships across all grades and they are the envy of all clubs.

We have produced the following international players 1 Australian Wallaby, 1 Australian defence force, 1 Australian 7’s & 1 Manu Samoa. We have had 13 of our juniors over the years played for the Australian School boys. Our players have been contracted to play by the Queensland Reds, Western Force & ACT Brumbies at super rugby level. A number of our players have also been contracted to overseas clubs in Japan, France, Romania & New Zealand. 2 of our coaches have overseen Victorian State teams. We average 5 -8 junior State representatives a year and that is every year from 1992!
